Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders 6th Annual Conference
September 20 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm$25 - $65
The State Task Force on Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD’s) is proud to announce the date for our 6th Annual Conference on FASD’s! This year’s conference will be held on September 20th (location to be determined). We are excited to have two very special speakers who can bring both the parent and professional perspectives to our attendees.
Nate Sheets is a Behavior Consultant and Trainer at Oregon Behavior Consultation who specializes in FASD’s, developmental disabilities, and cognitive skills. Nate is passionate about providing support to families, agencies, and schools who work with youth and adults with FASD’s and drug affects. FASD’s are unique disabilities that differ from all others, and can present some of the most emotionally difficult challenges for families. Many parents are frustrated with professionals who provide little in the way of practical, affordable solutions, and Nate’s goal is to change that!
Karen Anderson is an educator in FASD and neurobehavioral disorders at Families Affected by Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FAFASD). She and her husband are long-time foster and adoptive parents with six children, the youngest of whom has Fetal Alcohol Syndrome. She works with prospective foster and adoptive parents and serves on the board of the National Organization on Fetal Alcohol Syndrome-Missouri and the Missouri State Foster Care Advisory Board.
